Civil Project Manager - Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Manager - Traffic Engineer to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. As a key member of our traffic engineering services team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects and supporting personnel, while also performing a variety of technical and production tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage traffic engineering design and studies for multiple internal and external clients
  • Prepare or assist in preparing detailed construction drawings for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signs, pavement markings, and similar items using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Work with a team in the preparation of traffic engineering studies, including technical analyses and evaluations for projects of various size and complexity
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports, memoranda, and other written communication, including all supporting analyses and documents
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, support services, and subconsultants
  • Coordinate with government agencies, utility providers, or other outside agencies
  • Coordinate with clients, depending on project role
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Texas (or capable of obtaining within 6 months)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in traffic engineering
  • Ability to travel to project sites and technical and/or professional organization functions, mostly within the region, and may occasionally require travel to sites and other Westwood offices and/or corporate events throughout the United States
