We are seeking an experienced Air Traffic Control Instructor to join our team at SAIC. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training services to air traffic controllers and providing mentoring and support to students and Remote Pilot Operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and simulation laboratory training to air traffic controllers and students
  • Mentor and support students and Remote Pilot Operators
  • Participate in curriculum design and development
  • Interface with FAA personnel to ensure delivery of training services meet the needs of the local facility and the FAA's overall Air Traffic Control mission

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) experience controlling live traffic or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility
  • Experience with ATC simulators, including scenario design for simulation platforms
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience as a Certified Professional Controller (CPC) at the Dallas Love ATCT (DAL)
  • Operational experience with ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures
  • Excellent teaching and/or platform skills, classroom management techniques, and a student-focused drive for continuous improvement
