Position Overview

In the role of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist, you will be the primary technical and systems contact for the Human Resources division. Your responsibilities will encompass the support, maintenance, and enhancement of all HR systems and associated processes. You will also be tasked with creating and sustaining comprehensive reporting capabilities within Human Resources by refining the HR data model to facilitate automated information delivery to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily HRIS operations, ensuring security access, maintenance, administration, and systems integrity of all HR platforms. Act as the systems and process authority for implementations, upgrades, and configuration adjustments to meet business requirements. Swiftly troubleshoot, investigate, and escalate system issues as needed, keeping users informed on progress. Lead system updates and upgrades, collaborating with vendors to test modifications ensuring systems and processes function as intended. Communicate system and process modifications to various business units across the organization. Assist in the development of training materials, system configurations, and programming documentation for employee training. Serve as a liaison for employees and management to address inquiries regarding HRIS systems and data policies. Manage all HRIS vendor relationships and contractual agreements.

Data Integrity Management

Prepare, maintain, and update employee and position data within the HR information system. Ensure data integrity by regularly reviewing and auditing data flow and resolving issues. Manage data analysis and reporting requirements for the HR department. Proactively identify areas where HR data is outdated and collaborate with HR functions to enhance data quality. Create custom ad hoc reports and maintain a library of reports. Design, analyze, and deliver statistical reports for HR/Organizational metrics dashboards. Enhance the HR data model to support automated information delivery to stakeholders. Assist in developing tools and reports for HR subject matter experts to effectively execute their functions.

Departmental Operations

Support HR initiatives, including annual benefits enrollment, performance reviews, merit increase processes, and departmental audits. Provide primary backup support to payroll, enhancing efficiencies and automation. Manage the ticket queue, assigning tasks to agents as necessary. Collaborate with IT and other HR functions to maintain the HR SharePoint page. Create ad hoc reports, manage training enrollments, and maintain distribution lists. Handle personnel file requests and assist with compliance reporting. Prepare and submit required compliance reports annually. Provide coverage for meetings and breaks as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

Utilize all capabilities to enhance the competitiveness and profitability of our members. Maintain a HIPAA-compliant workstation and employ appropriate security measures to protect confidential data. Ensure safety equipment is maintained and operational. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, requiring effective communication and collaboration with team members. Regular movement around the office is expected, along with the use of various tools and controls.
