Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the accounting department. This position is responsible for ensuring the prompt processing of vendor invoices and expense claims, while maintaining precise records and compliance documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, including invoicing and year-end payments.
- Manage relationships with vendors, including onboarding and account management.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and payments.
- Assist with annual audits and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee monthly closing processes for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expenses, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure financial statements adhere to revenue recognition standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with US GAAP.
- Maintain a robust system of internal controls with detailed documentation of processes.
- Provide accounting support to operational teams.
- Act as a liaison with external auditors and accountants to fulfill reporting requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with various management levels and influence without formal authority.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional skepticism.
- Experience in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance sector.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct software.
- CPA certification.
