About the Role
In this pivotal position, you will contribute significantly to our growth by delivering insightful financial analysis and collaborating with the leadership team to inform strategic decisions.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Enhance and maintain our financial models to project revenue, expenses, and profitability. Perform variance analysis and scenario planning to evaluate the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and produce insightful reports to assess our financial health and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Strategic Analysis & Budgeting: Assist in the development of annual and long-term budgets, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Business Development, Marketing, and other departments to understand their requirements, translate them into financial insights, and support business initiatives.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Aid the Head of Finance with market research to identify potential investors. Help prepare financial data and presentations for fundraising activities.
  • Financial Operations: Support month-end closing processes and other shared services based on ongoing business needs. Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned by your manager.

The Senior Financial Analyst position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and will require a minimum of two days per week in the office.

About You
You possess 3+ years of professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, investment banking, or similar fields.

You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to convert complex financial data into actionable insights with minimal external guidance.

Your organizational and project management skills are exceptional, with a keen attention to detail.

You demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, effectively conveying financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You are proficient in startup operating systems and tools (e.g., Google Sheets, QuickBooks, Mosaic, HubSpot).

Your work style is collaborative and proactive, allowing you to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline and are passionate about Climate Tech.

Compensation
The total compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $115,000 - $136,000, along with equity (stock options) and benefits. This target compensation range is subject to various factors, including role, level, experience, and location.
