POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Stewardship Analyst at Allspring Global Investments, you will have the distinct opportunity to collaborate with a team focused on ESG engagement and corporate governance. Working alongside portfolio managers and analysts, you will play a pivotal role in strategizing and executing ESG engagements, as well as contributing significantly to our proxy voting processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead ESG engagements with selected investee companies on critical ESG matters. Your outstanding communication skills and relationship-building abilities will facilitate impactful discussions.
  • Prepare engagement preparation notes, meeting summaries, case studies, and contribute to our stewardship documentation. Your exceptional writing skills will ensure the highest quality of our reports.
  • Manage the daily workflow for designated aspects of the proxy process during the proxy season. Your meticulous attention to detail and multitasking capabilities will be essential for seamless execution.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with portfolio managers, investment analysts, client service representatives, legal professionals, compliance experts, and third-party technology partners. Through close collaboration with these teams, successfully implement strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Provide insightful feedback and recommendations to enhance processes and mitigate risks. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will drive operational excellence.
  • Actively engage in institutional client operational due diligence requests and complete necessary questionnaires. Effectively communicate and clarify complex issues to ensure client satisfaction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Several years of experience in stewardship, proxy, or investment-related roles.
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and succinctly.
  • Effective management of multiple tasks and prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to handle various responsibilities concurrently.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the asset management sector, particularly in proxy, corporate governance, or stewardship, is highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and execution excellence, consistently seeking ways to enhance our processes and deliver outstanding results.
  • Thoughtful and decisive approach to effectively negotiate critical issue resolutions.
  • Strong time management, analytical, and organizational skills contributing to success in this role.
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management for successful outcomes.

Base Pay Range: $, - $,

Salary Range for California candidates only. Actual base pay may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, internal salary comparisons, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
