POSITION OVERVIEW

In the role of Stewardship Analyst at Allspring Global Investments, you will collaborate with a dedicated team specializing in ESG engagement and corporate governance. Working alongside portfolio managers and analysts, you will play a pivotal role in strategizing and executing ESG initiatives, while also contributing significantly to our proxy voting activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead ESG engagements with selected investee companies, addressing critical ESG topics. Your strong communication abilities and relationship-building skills will facilitate impactful discussions. Create engagement preparation documents, meeting summaries, case studies, and contribute to stewardship reports, ensuring high-quality written communication. Oversee the daily operations related to the proxy process during the proxy season, utilizing your organizational skills to ensure efficient execution. Cultivate strong relationships with portfolio managers, investment analysts, client service representatives, legal advisors, compliance professionals, and third-party technology partners to implement strategies effectively. Offer insightful feedback and recommendations to enhance processes and mitigate risks, leveraging your analytical mindset and attention to detail. Engage in institutional client operational due diligence requests and complete necessary questionnaires, clearly articulating complex issues to ensure client satisfaction.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of five years of experience in stewardship, proxy, or investment roles. Proficient in conveying complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Effective at managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities. Strong multitasking abilities to handle various duties simultaneously. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in the asset management sector, particularly in proxy, corporate governance, or stewardship roles, is highly regarded. A proactive approach to driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. A thoughtful and decisive approach to negotiating resolutions for critical issues. Strong time management, analytical, and organizational skills essential for success in this position. Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management effectively. Essential capability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Base Pay Range: $, - $,

Salary Range for California candidates only. Actual base pay may vary based on relevant experience, tenure in role, internal salary benchmarks, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include participation in performance-linked incentive programs.
