The Corporate Governance Coordinator is integral in providing comprehensive support to our corporate attorneys, handling a range of responsibilities that include document management, client interaction, and project assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft, edit, and review various corporate documents such as contracts, agreements, compliance materials, and closing documents.
  2. Assist in the preparation of pre-closing documentation and manage the execution of necessary documents.
  3. Collaborate closely with clients, acting as a liaison between them and the legal team.
  4. Maintain knowledge of filing protocols and e-filing procedures with relevant state and federal agencies.
  5. Organize and maintain client files in accordance with firm standards, utilizing our document management system.
  6. Coordinate scheduling for meetings, including video conferences and other appointments, while managing attorneys' calendars.
  7. Record and submit attorneys' billable hours in compliance with firm policies, reviewing invoices for accuracy.
  8. Conduct initial conflict checks and manage the opening and closing of client matters, preparing necessary engagement documentation.
  9. Track case deadlines and collaborate with the Docket Department to ensure compliance.
  10. Arrange travel logistics and monitor travel expenditures for reimbursement purposes.
  11. Provide professional and timely communication with both internal and external clients, upholding our commitment to exceptional service.

Additional Duties:

  1. Actively participate as a member of the practice group support team.
  2. Complete the Legal Technology Core Competencies Certification Coalition (LTC4) Program to enhance technological proficiency.
  3. Stay updated on all firm systems and practices.
  4. Be prepared to work additional hours as needed.
  5. Perform other administrative support tasks as assigned.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, confidentiality regarding all documents and information is paramount.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma along with three years of relevant corporate experience, ideally with exposure to private equity. Strong multitasking abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and PDF software are essential. Familiarity with tools such as InTapp Time, Intapp Open, Chrome River Expense Reporting, Aderant, Interaction, and iManage is advantageous. A strong customer service orientation is required.
