Job Title: Senior Sales Manager

As a Senior Sales Manager at Wesco International, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and revenue across multiple locations or a large-scale location with significant complexities. You will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to achieve sales and profit goals, designing and recommending sales and marketing programs, and setting short and long-term sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Administer Sales Plans: Ensure customer satisfaction, assigned quota attainment, good reference accounts, and highly skilled and motivated staff.
  • Partner with Marketing: Develop and implement sales marketing programs and initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Determine Sales and Gross Profit Plans: Implement marketing strategies, analyze trends and results, and determine annual sales and gross profit plans.
  • Establish Sales Objectives: Forecast and develop sales quota for territories, and establish sales objectives to drive revenue growth.
  • Project Sales Volume and Profit: Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new product lines and customers.
  • Maintain Sales Volume and Product Mix: Monitor market supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors to maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price.
  • Coordinate Order Service: Direct account representatives and executives on quotations, proposals, project order management techniques, and customer complaint resolution.
  • Establish and Adjust Billing Margin: Monitor costs, competition, and market conditions to establish and adjust billing margin.
  • Manage Sales Staff: Recruit, select, orient, and train employees to drive sales growth and revenue.
  • Maintain Sales Staff Results: Coach employees, plan, monitor, and appraise job results to drive sales growth and revenue.
  • Develop and Maintain Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with top customers to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain Professional and Technical Knowledge: Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, and participate in professional societies to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Forecast and Communicate Sales Results: Forecast and communicate intricate sales results to senior business managers.
  • Interface with Internal Support Departments: Establish positive customer experience by interfacing with internal support departments.
  • Partner with Suppliers: Maintain customer relationships, provide training to staff, and execute marketing programs and initiatives with suppliers.
  • Partner with Internal Departments: Troubleshoot issues such as inventory and operations with internal departments.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree - Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years prior experience with managing a sales team and sales programs; 5+ years prior professional sales experience in related industry.
  • Skills: Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion, and interpersonal skills; ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility; excellent time management and computer skills.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25%.
Working Environment:

Outside Sales - Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
