Job Summary

Maersk is a global leader in integrated logistics, and we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Air Freight Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Direct Transport Sales team, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships and driving growth for our Air Freight product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned customers and budget base, pursuing and securing new Air Freight business in line with business objectives
  • Identify customer needs and pain points, providing value-based solutions
  • Build a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base
  • Communicate significant trends, rate changes, and policies to assigned customers
  • Research and understand the market to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers
  • Research and analyze global and local industry trends for Air Freight
  • Ensure the customer relationship management tool (Salesforce) is updated with all opportunities, and ensure a full sales opportunity funnel, with opportunities at all stages of the sales cycle
  • Work closely with local North America Air Freight Product organization to grow Air Freight and revenues
  • Work closely with the capacity and campaign manager to formalize commercial plans and ensure maximization of asset utilization
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' work experience in a sales capacity within the International Air Freight industry
  • Proficiency in persuasive selling
  • Ability to be both persuasive and influential
  • Results-driven and capable of working under pressure while keeping sight of the strategy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry sales-related tools
