Senior Sales Team Lead

As a key member of the Bass Pro Shops team, the Senior Sales Team Lead plays a vital role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Reporting to the Group Sales or Department Manager, this role oversees daily operations in one of the store's departments, ensuring seamless execution of merchandising directives, inventory control, and customer service initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the GSM/DM to achieve departmental sales, gross margin, inventory shrinkage, and payroll goals
- Executing merchandising directives, including maintaining plan-o-grams as set by the Corporate Office
- Assisting in staffing the department with service-oriented associates, coordinating training, and providing input on performance appraisals
- Remaining a product expert through ongoing training and conducting product demos for the team
- Ensuring inventory accuracy and assisting in carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Requirements include:
- Proficiency in PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, associates, customers, and corporate staff
Travel requirements include standing and walking during shifts, occasional operation of motor vehicles or heavy equipment, and performing duties within the scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives.
