About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Donor Engagement to join our team at Jewishsac. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new donors, as well as stewarding existing relationships to drive growth and revenue for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Donor Management and Engagement
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive donor engagement strategy to identify, cultivate, and steward new and existing donors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the development team to create compelling fundraising materials, including solicitation letters, donor newsletters, and impact reports.
  • Utilize data and research to inform donor engagement strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.
Annual Fundraising and Event Management
  • Lead the development and execution of annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, email, and major donor solicitations.
  • Supervise the planning and execution of fundraising events, including donor receptions, opening nights, and the annual benefit.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to maximize event revenue and enhance donor engagement opportunities.
Grant and Administrative Oversight
  • Supervise the research and preparation of grant proposals, as well as the preparation of grant reports in collaboration with the grants manager.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and deadlines, maintaining accurate records of all grant-related activities.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in individual giving.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with donors, volunteers, staff, and lay leaders.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate our organization's mission and impact to diverse audiences.
  4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  5. Proficiency in donor management software, email platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Passion for the arts and a commitment to advancing our organization's mission and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
