Job OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY

The Office of Clerk Circuit Court is seeking a dedicated Financial Compliance Technician, committed to upholding the principles of public service. This role is essential in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of financial documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and update financial documentation, encompassing accounts payable and receivable, as well as general ledger entries.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure the accuracy of payroll disbursements.
  • Execute complex accounting support tasks and maintain accounts in alignment with established accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare, process, and reconcile cash deposits, ensuring accurate classification and reporting of receipts.
  • Verify that revenues are accurately recorded in the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
  • Maintain essential logs and databases, generating various financial reports and documentation as required.
  • Review financial reports to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and regulations.
  • Calculate and record tax remittances, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Process remittance documents and apply payments to the appropriate accounts.
  • Handle the printing, scanning, and filing of financial records and reports.
  • Conduct pre-audit assessments to identify discrepancies in financial records.
  • Review and process purchase card transactions through bank software.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding financial records and provide guidance on procedures.
  • Collaborate with accountants and other departments to ensure proper account management.
  • Process wires, payments, and invoices, releasing purchase orders as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in specialized accounting support, demonstrating proficiency in maintaining accurate financial data.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Compliance with testing requirements as established by the Clerk's Office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.
  • Some walking or standing may be necessary.
