Position Overview:

The Fraud Prevention Center of Excellence at Social Finance Ltd plays a critical role in supporting responsible growth across lending, banking, investing, and other member-related services, all while aligning with the company's risk management framework.

This team is responsible for a comprehensive approach to managing enterprise risks, including credit, deposit products, fraud prevention, and operational risks. The Director of Fraud Investigations will oversee teams of fraud investigators, both domestically and at our Global Delivery Center.

The primary focus of this role will be to develop and refine fraud investigation protocols, standardize operating procedures, and implement automation tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of investigators. This position will also ensure that execution plans are in place to deliver a consistent member experience while adhering to investigation standards.

Collaboration with various departments, including Fraud Prevention Policy, Operations Analytics, Fraud Platform, AML, Legal, and Compliance, will be essential to achieve operational excellence in fraud prevention.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead process improvement initiatives by leveraging data analytics to drive insights.
  • Coach and mentor fraud investigators to enhance productivity and accountability.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for new processes.
  • Identify opportunities to mitigate fraud risk while improving member experience.
  • Work with workforce management to optimize costs and capacity to meet service level agreements.
  • Explore avenues for financial recovery through collaboration with financial institutions or law enforcement.
  • Facilitate training programs to ensure high-quality investigative outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to validate the quality of deliverables.
  • Provide insights to the policy team regarding emerging fraud trends and validate exposure points.
  • Support legal and compliance teams on referral cases.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in fraud or financial crime operations, with a proven track record of managing multiple teams within large or super regional financial institutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience in fraud investigation operations, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making. Experience in Investment Securities Fraud is advantageous.


Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position will be determined based on individual qualifications, including experience and skills.
