UDR Consulting is actively looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Senior Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineering Specialist to contribute to a significant Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) initiative.
Work Location: Greenville, SC Key Responsibilities
- Offer technical guidance to designated engineering personnel as necessary.
- Conduct reviews of construction documentation as needed.
- Engage in a wide array of I&C design tasks, which encompass design specification, control systems architecture and development, digital systems, PLC, DCS, network configuration, logic development, network switches, process controls, P&ID development support and review, HMI, communication protocols, routing and layout, SIL, and procurement activities.
- Understand and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, along with customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned responsibilities throughout project initiation.
- Prepare engineering cost estimates and schedules.
- Generate and verify the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations and specifications.
- Proficiency in computer-aided drafting applications is essential.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. A solid understanding of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards relevant to electrical engineering design is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical (Power) Engineering or a similar accredited engineering degree. A minimum of 15 years of experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related engineering phases.
- Professional Engineer License is preferred but not mandatory.
