Position Summary:
The Senior Property Operations Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of our properties, fostering a vibrant community among residents through various activities and services. This role is essential in addressing challenges and ensuring a supportive and positive living environment at our properties.

Work Schedule:
Onsite, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The final schedule will be determined by the supervisor.

Your Contributions:

  • Deliver professional, responsive, and knowledgeable interactions with both applicants and residents, always striving to resolve issues respectfully.
  • Oversee rent collection, monitor delinquencies, and assist with eviction processes as needed.
  • Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Manage all leasing activities for vacant units, including marketing and assisting applicants with the rental application process.
  • Work with the Compliance department to ensure applicants meet screening criteria and income restrictions.
  • Conduct annual recertification of residents' income and eligibility to comply with funding agreements.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance department for work orders and unit turnover.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Services team to provide resources and referrals to residents.
  • Foster a sense of community by organizing and participating in resident events.
  • Promote an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in apartment management or leasing; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of fair housing laws and local landlord/tenant regulations.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with rent collection and financial management.
  • Familiarity with property management software.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing compliance processes.
  • Experience with diverse populations and community partnerships.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
