As a Senior Property Risk Analyst, you will leverage your marketing and analytical expertise to assess and underwrite both new and renewal business. Under general guidance, you will utilize the Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework, ensuring that you operate within your delegated authority on assignments of higher technical complexity while delivering exceptional service to our clients. This role is pivotal in the market, requiring a strong sales-oriented mindset and a solid understanding of property insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and oversee underwriting standards, guidelines, and compliance with insurance regulations.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with Line of Business representatives and other stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture connections with distributors (agents & brokers) to support business retention and growth, while addressing their insurance needs with tailored solutions.
  • Enhance the organization's sales culture by serving as a resource for agents, brokers, and clients.
  • Actively pursue renewal and new business opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough opportunity assessments with key distributors to identify potential growth avenues.
  • Evaluate accounts to align with the organization's risk appetite while balancing viable business opportunities.
  • Engage in broker/customer visits with a well-prepared agenda and purpose.
Basic Qualifications:

For the Senior Property Risk Analyst role:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10+ years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support.
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 8+ years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support.

For the AVP Property Risk Analyst role:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 7+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 14+ years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support.
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 5+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 12+ years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support.
    AND
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Technical expertise in commercial Property Underwriting.
  • Established relationships with brokers in the region.
  • Experience with an international client base.
  • Sales-driven mindset.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
