Salary Information: The salary range for this role is $73,486 - $86,460, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.

Position Summary: The Clinical Engineer I is responsible for various facets of the Biomedical Equipment Services program. This role includes managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), overseeing Alternative Equipment Maintenance (AEM) strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Clinical Engineer I will also engage in medical equipment planning, life-cycle management, and the development and implementation of maintenance strategies for healthcare technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishes preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines.
  • Conducts training sessions on medical technologies for clinical staff as required.
  • Instructs technical personnel on proper testing procedures and maintenance protocols for medical devices.
  • Participates in capital planning for medical equipment replacement based on current inventory assessments and technological advancements.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Contributes to quality assurance initiatives related to the maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment.
  • Reports unsafe conditions or potential code violations to the appropriate authorities.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years in a Biomedical/Clinical Engineering capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
