Salary Information: The salary range for this role is $73,486 - $86,460, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.

Position Summary: The Clinical Engineer I plays a crucial role in supporting various elements of the Biomedical Equipment Services program. Responsibilities include managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), overseeing Alternative Equipment Maintenance (AEM) strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Clinical Engineer I is also involved in medical equipment planning, life-cycle management, and the development and implementation of maintenance strategies for healthcare technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish preventive maintenance schedules and protocols.
  • Provide training on medical technologies to clinical staff as required.
  • Educate technical staff on proper testing procedures and maintenance protocols for biomedical devices.
  • Engage in capital planning for medical equipment replacement based on inventory assessments and technological advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives related to the maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or potential code violations to the appropriate authorities.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Biomedical/Clinical Engineering capacity.
Additional Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
