Job Title: Construction Accounting Manager

At Precision Contracting, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the accounting team, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business growth and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and management of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including banks and sureties.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in construction, with 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and California certified payroll compliance requirements, construction invoicing, and AP/AR management.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Premier Contractor Edition and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
