Job Opportunity

Kinetic Personnel Group is partnering with a thriving construction company to find an experienced Construction Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AIA billing forms and Sage 100 software, with extensive knowledge of construction accounting practices, including job costing, billing, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage AIA billing forms, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • Utilize Sage 100 software for financial tracking, job costing, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of project finances, including cost allocations, change orders, and budget adjustments.
  • Assist with financial reporting and reconciliation, including month-end and year-end close.
  • Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable/receivable and payroll related to construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve billing and financial discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports for management, including forecasts, profit/loss statements, and cash flow projections.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Accountant with a focus on AIA billing forms.
  • Proficiency in Sage 100 or similar construction accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and contract management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and vendors.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and change order processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly with AIA billing and job costing.
