Position Title: Communication Systems Engineer

Location: Hybrid Role

Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000, Full-time, direct hire

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Communication Systems Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Electrical Engineering. In this role, you will engage in the design, validation, and resolution of intricate technical issues associated with electrical and communication systems utilized globally. You will gain practical experience with our control systems, sensors, drives, and communication platforms, all while being part of a team that boasts a wide range of expertise and access to internal laboratories with extensive capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop system and component-level specifications and create design concepts for communication systems that incorporate electrical and embedded software.
  • Conduct integration testing for Ethernet communication networks alongside relevant hardware and embedded software systems.
  • Collaborate with compliance organizations to formulate compliance testing plans and documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and electronic manufacturing partners to transition designs into production.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a matrixed team environment.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Networking, Communication Systems, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in the design of electrical and embedded software communication systems.
  • Proficiency in selecting, designing, and validating modules and assemblies with wired communication interfaces (e.g., serial, CAN, Ethernet, USB).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to navigate a matrix organization and manage multiple project-related tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Systems Engineering, or relevant certifications in networking and communication systems.
  • Experience with wireless communication interfaces (e.g., BLE, Wi-Fi, Cellular).
  • Previous experience in designing or testing systems to comply with global telecommunication standards.
