Job Overview

We are a reputable and expanding organization in search of a skilled Project Manager specializing in construction management. In this pivotal role, you will supervise various ongoing construction initiatives, ensuring they are executed efficiently, within financial constraints, and adhere to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of AIA (American Institute of Architects) protocols, billing practices, scheduling techniques, and a thorough knowledge of building regulations, along with the ability to interpret blueprints effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight

  • Comprehend the full scope of each project and develop a strategic execution plan.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to set timelines and implement schedules.
  • Contribute to project estimations, final budgets, and monitor financial tracking.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding project specifics among all stakeholders.
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with partners, vendors, clients, and subcontractors.

Site Management

  • Responsible for verifying field measurements and evaluating site conditions.
  • Coordinate with the Installation Manager to oversee subcontractor activities.
  • Offer value engineering insights in partnership with sales, installation, and clients.
  • Ensure all company representatives maintain a safe, professional, and positive demeanor.
  • Thoroughly document safety-related incidents and close calls both on-site and off-site.

Administrative Duties

  • Document and communicate project scope modifications effectively.
  • Proactively oversee budgets, address variances, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure the field operations calendar is current and daily project progress is logged.
  • Monitor equipment orders to guarantee timely delivery and address any delays.
  • Foster professional relationships that enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Encourage a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
  • Promote an environment that delivers an exceptional experience across all organizational facets.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in comprehensive construction project management, including contracts, AIA billing, scheduling, and compliance with building codes.
  • Background in institutional construction projects, including educational, healthcare, and governmental facilities.
  • Hands-on knowledge of food service equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant codes and regulations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with project management software is preferred.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including CRM and Microsoft Suite.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Proven multitasking abilities and prioritization skills.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant project management experience in the commercial construction sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret various documents related to project specifications.
  • Mathematical proficiency for basic calculations and problem-solving.
