Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the procurement of subcontractors, coordinate construction activities, and supervise to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and high-quality standards while maintaining safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with executives to define project objectives by analyzing project RFPs and plans effectively.
  • Manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors within the allocated time and budget efficiently.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, field staff, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and acquire subcontracts, labor, materials, and equipment meticulously.
  • Supervise projects closely to address out-of-scope work requests, unforeseen conditions, and time impacts promptly.
  • Develop and revise project schedules in collaboration with superintendents, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Scrutinize project budgets and cost estimates meticulously.
  • Handle invoicing tasks effectively.
  • Review and execute subcontracts and purchase orders diligently.
  • Manage projects from proposal stage through closeout.
  • Address issues arising from unforeseen conditions promptly.
  • Foster teamwork within the project execution team effectively.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control and Safety representatives efficiently.
  • Ensure project activities conform to budget, plans, specs, and schedule.
  • Forecast project cash flow in relation to the project schedule accurately.
  • Track the financial performance of projects diligently.
  • Prepare detailed project reports for management and clients.
  • Interface effectively with clients to ensure project success.
  • Uphold and maintain our excellent reputation throughout projects.
  • Manage all project team activities efficiently.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Federal renovation and repair-type construction projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related field from a four-year college or university is preferred.
  • Ideal candidates will possess 5-10 years of experience in managing Design Build and Bid Build projects.
  • Experience in managing projects from proposal stage through closeout.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively address and solve technical construction-related issues.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and ability to maintain team morale and promote a strong team spirit.
  • A good understanding of legal processes related to construction projects.
  • Experience with scheduling, P6 Primavera, RMS, and Quality Control processes is advantageous.
Working Conditions

The job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
