Your Role and Responsibilities: We are seeking a qualified Project Superintendent to oversee field management and coordinate with field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage the overall field operations to ensure that quality standards, personnel requirements, budget constraints, and timelines are consistently met.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, departmental guidelines, and technical standards.
- Interpret and implement policies as necessary.
- Support the execution and understanding of safety programs and contribute to the development of training initiatives for supervision.
- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise the workforce, subcontractors, and all construction equipment for assigned projects.
- Establish work schedules to maximize productivity.
- Regularly review project drawings and specifications.
- Ensure that subcontractors and suppliers adhere to specifications and industry codes.
- Document any changes made by architects or owners and secure timely approvals from the project manager.
- Coordinate all inspections and testing as required.
- Act as the primary safety representative for assigned projects.
- Report all incidents and initiate necessary paperwork.
- Participate in company training and seminars as directed by management.
- Assist the Senior Project Superintendent in developing the construction schedule.
- Engage with potential future employees through industry contacts.
- Review construction schedules, payment requests, and job cost reports with the Project Manager.
- Set up the job trailer, including temporary utilities and sanitation facilities.
- Coordinate the scheduling of materials and suppliers.
- Notify management of any changes in manpower needs to meet established schedules.
- Conduct initial screenings for prospective field employees as requested.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in the construction sector.
- At least two years of continuous experience as a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent.
- Proven track record of successfully completing projects valued up to $2 million in the role of Project Superintendent.
- Strong communication, supervisory, and planning skills are essential.
