Your Role: We are seeking a seasoned Project Superintendent to oversee field management and administration for our field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall field operations to ensure the highest standards of quality, personnel adequacy, budget adherence, and schedule compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, departmental procedures, and technical standards.
  • Interpret and implement policies as necessary.
  • Support the execution and understanding of safety programs and contribute to the development of training initiatives for supervisors.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of employees, subcontractors, and construction equipment on assigned projects.
  • Establish work schedules to maximize productivity.
  • Regularly review project drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure subcontractors and suppliers meet all specifications and codes.
  • Document any changes initiated by the architect or owner and secure timely approvals from the project manager.
  • Schedule inspections and coordinate necessary testing.
  • Act as the primary safety representative for assigned projects.
  • Report all incidents and complete initial accident documentation.
  • Participate in company training and seminars as required.
  • Assist the Senior Project Superintendent in the development of the construction schedule.
  • Engage with potential future employees through industry contacts.
  • Review construction schedules, payment requests, and job cost reports with the Project Manager.
  • Set up the job trailer, including temporary utilities and facilities.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of materials and suppliers.
  • Communicate any changes in manpower needs to align with established schedules.
  • Conduct initial screenings for prospective field employees when requested.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in the construction sector.
  • At least two years of experience as a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent on a continuous basis.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects valued up to $2 million as a Project Superintendent.
  • Strong communication, supervisory, and planning skills are essential.
