Position Overview:

The University Talent Acquisition Manager will spearhead the strategy, planning, and execution of our Early Careers initiatives. This role is based in Houston and reports directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and enhance Early Careers programs that align with our overall talent strategy.
  • Establish strategic goals and KPIs that support the organization's business objectives.
  • Drive organizational change by influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to set hiring targets for new graduates and interns, ensuring effective execution of plans.
  • Utilize data and analytics to monitor progress, identify trends, and provide insights to TMHCC leadership regarding Early Careers recruiting.
  • Work with business leaders to identify and engage target universities, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Organize and participate in campus events to connect with students, employing innovative methods to engage and inspire them through lectures, speaker series, workshops, and other initiatives.
  • Expand TMHCC's presence on university campuses by partnering with Career Centers, faculty, and student organizations to facilitate both virtual and in-person events.
  • Collaborate with interview teams to create outstanding interview experiences that attract top talent to TMHCC.
  • Document and streamline recruitment processes, ensuring adherence to best practices by recruiters and hiring managers.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, particularly in Early Careers or Campus Recruiting.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing campus programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in the insurance industry or in a decentralized environment is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated change management capabilities with the ability to influence across various organizational levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of the campus recruiting landscape and experience in developing target school strategies and innovative talent attraction methods.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Adobe, SharePoint, etc.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% during peak recruiting seasons.
