We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Host to join our team at Emmy Squared Pizza

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a welcoming and memorable experience.
  • Answer phone calls in a timely manner, responding to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Seat guests promptly, ensuring a clean and available table, and providing a clean menu.
  • Adhere to seating guidelines to ensure equitable distribution among servers.
  • Greet guests warmly, offering a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
  • Assist with taking orders, monitoring dining areas for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
  • Support servers as needed, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Thank every guest upon departure, inviting them to return and wishing them a fond farewell.
  • Manage reservations, utilizing platforms like Open Table and Resy.
  • Adhere to Emmy's Steps of Service, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience.
  • Develop a working knowledge of menu and beverage offerings, effectively communicating guest requests to culinary staff.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, maintaining a clean and presentable work environment.
  • Exhibit a positive, outgoing demeanor during service, promoting a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures, performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Prior host or front of house experience in a high-volume restaurant operation.
  • Excellent customer service, cash handling, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing the needs of guests while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Capacity to work cohesively with co-workers throughout the restaurant.
  • Possess a passion for hospitality and a love of the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, with the capacity to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
