Key Responsibilities:
The Territory Sales Consultant is responsible for driving sales at customer locations within a designated area through effective product placement, promotional activities, and visually appealing merchandise displays. This role requires travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays as necessary. The consultant must maintain a professional image while adhering to company policies and procedures, and work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and vendors.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct product sales and promotional activities during service visits to customer locations.
  • Arrange merchandise displays to maximize visibility and attract sales.
  • Transport products from storage to customer shelves or displays.
  • Ensure product quality and availability by rotating stock and checking expiration dates.
  • Perform inventory counts and reconcile orders for customer accounts.
  • Process customer credits for returned or spoiled goods.
  • Timely creation and submission of product replenishment orders and related documentation.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while adhering to company standards.
  • Reset merchandise displays to enhance product visibility.
  • Maintain cleanliness of fixtures to promote sales.
  • Communicate product needs and customer requirements with relevant team members.
  • Utilize electronic devices for communication and order processing.
  • Travel to various customer locations as required.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as needed.
  • Assist with store inventories to ensure accurate product counts.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to meet company objectives.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English, along with basic mathematical abilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is necessary. A minimum of one year of experience in sales or a related field is preferred, with experience in perishable goods being advantageous. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential, along with reliable transportation and appropriate insurance coverage.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily indoors, with exposure to varying temperatures based on product types (dry, cold, freezer). The work environment includes concrete and vinyl flooring.

Work Hours:
The schedule consists of five 8-hour workdays per week, with start times that may vary. Flexibility is required as work hours and shifts may change based on business needs.

Physical and Mental Demands:
This role requires the ability to exert force occasionally (20 to 50 pounds) and frequently (10 to 20 pounds) to move products. The position involves significant travel and requires frequent standing and walking. Adherence to safety protocols and company grooming standards is mandatory. Strong time management skills are essential to effectively manage multiple customer accounts and meet deadlines.
