Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Senior Associate to join our team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for performing audit, review, and compilation procedures for clients. You will also be involved in planning and performing all phases of an engagement, including workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation, and report preparation.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate client engagement meetings and determine timelines, objectives, and expectations of an engagement.
  • Perform audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients.
  • Plan and perform all phases of an engagement, including workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation, and report preparation.
  • Analyze and prepare trial balances, complex financial statements, and audit reports using audit software programs.
  • Reconcile accounting information to control accounts.
  • Conduct fraud interviews on an as-needed basis with CEO, accountants, and other employees.
  • Review staff work, prepare high-risk audit sections, and draft financial statements.
  • Provide financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Request and collect appropriate information to diagnose and solve client problems.
  • Coordinate various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame.
  • Train lower-level staff on the various aspects of an audit and delegate work based on availability and experience.
  • Understand and apply work procedures and effectively tailor the plan as necessary.
  • Maintain awareness of general business trends and issues and apply that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
  • Perform field work at client locations as necessary.
  • Network, build relationships, and attract new clients or business to the Firm.
  • Attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
  • Ensure timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintain compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Well-rounded knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
  • Demonstrates critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Valid Certified Public Accountant License or working toward obtaining a CPA license required.
  • In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and have 2-4 years of experience in public accounting audit work.
