The Construction Project Manager is responsible for executing projects in alignment with established plans, timelines, budgets, quality standards, selections, and specifications, while maintaining a professional demeanor towards team members, subcontractors, and clients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field is preferred, but extensive experience may substitute
  • At least 5 years of relevant construction experience in similar roles
  • Proven history as a collaborative team member and effective leader

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promotes and exemplifies safety as a fundamental principle
  • Oversees project initiation, including securing necessary permits and licenses
  • Evaluates and scopes subcontractor/vendor proposals
  • Manages and tracks the overall RFI process
  • Oversees the submittal process and maintains tracking logs
  • Leads the development, planning, and updating of the overall project timeline
  • Prioritizes and accelerates material deliveries in line with project timelines
  • Co-facilitates subcontractor scheduling meetings with the superintendent
  • Oversees change orders from subcontractors and maintains a change order log
  • Manages owner change orders and maintains a corresponding log
  • Creates precise financial forecasts for projects
  • Collaborates with SPM/PX to enhance profitability and mitigate financial risks
  • Assists the superintendent with local inspection requirements
  • Manages the overall project closeout process
  • Mentors and trains team members
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and processes, educating new team members accordingly
  • Works closely with design teams, subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and internal clients to foster lasting relationships

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk
  • Frequently required to communicate verbally
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • May need to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Potential exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Vision capabilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Typical noise levels in the work environment are moderate

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel may be necessary based on specific project assignments.
