The Electrical Infrastructure Project Supervisor at Infra-Rec, focusing on Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Substation initiatives, is tasked with the strategic planning, coordination, and oversight of electrical construction projects. This role encompasses managing all facets of the construction lifecycle, including timelines, financials, safety measures, quality assurance, and team dynamics, ensuring projects are delivered punctually, within financial constraints, and adhere to safety and quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in overseeing T&D and substation projects, complemented by exceptional leadership and communication capabilities.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Project Strategy & Implementation:
    • Formulate detailed construction strategies, timelines, and financial plans for T&D and substation projects.
    • Facilitate project initiation meetings, ensuring all objectives and deliverables are effectively communicated to the project team.
    • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and other divisions to guarantee smooth project execution.
  • On-Site Operations Oversight:
    • Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
    • Manage subcontractors and construction teams, ensuring work is executed efficiently and meets high standards.
    • Conduct regular site evaluations and audits to assess progress, safety, and quality.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
    • Promote a robust safety culture, ensuring all personnel adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
    • Lead safety meetings, toolbox discussions, and site safety evaluations to mitigate risks and advocate for safe work practices.
    • Ensure adherence to all environmental, regulatory, and utility standards.
  • Financial & Timeline Management:
    • Track project expenditures, monitor costs, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
    • Identify potential financial overruns or scheduling delays and implement corrective measures to maintain project timelines.
    • Prepare and submit regular progress reports, change orders, and other necessary documentation.
  • Quality Control:
    • Collaborate closely with the QA/QC team to ensure all construction activities meet or exceed quality expectations.
    • Address and resolve any issues related to workmanship, materials, or construction techniques.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including inspection reports, punch lists, and as-built drawings.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary liaison for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any inquiries.
    • Facilitate coordination meetings with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
    • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, utilities, and other external stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Team Development:
    • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Evaluate team performance and provide guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, and logistics to meet project requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, specifically in T&D and substation projects.
    • A proven history of managing the construction of high-voltage transmission lines, substations, or similar infrastructure.
    • Experience with utility projects and familiarity with industry standards and practices.
  • Skills:
    • A strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and electrical infrastructure.
    • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Certifications:
    • PMP or similar project management certification is advantageous.
    • OSHA 30-hour certification is preferred.
