POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the comprehensive planning, coordination, execution, control, and successful completion of projects aligned with the organization's strategy, commitments, and objectives. This role involves independent collaboration with business partners across the organization to identify and execute medium to large-scale projects, which may include business process enhancements, new system rollouts, and compliance initiatives. The Senior Project Manager must adeptly manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal oversight, utilizing practical project management methodologies, skills, tools, and techniques to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of valuable outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Spearhead the planning and execution of medium to large, intricate project initiatives.


• Facilitate the establishment of project scope, objectives, and deliverables.


• Identify project tasks and resource needs.


• Develop and manage project timelines.


• Create and maintain comprehensive project plans.


• Assemble and direct project teams.


• Oversee project budgets.


• Manage resource allocation for projects.


• Monitor project deliverables using appropriate tools.


• Provide guidance and support to project teams.


• Continuously track and report on project progress to all stakeholders.


• Prepare and present reports to stakeholders and executive management, detailing project progress, challenges, and solutions.


• Implement and manage project adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.


• Proactively address project issues and risks to mitigate negative impacts on schedule, budget, and scope.


• Conduct evaluations and assessments post-implementation to gauge project success.

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education:


• Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is required.


• PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

Experience:


• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management, with at least 5 years in both Traditional and Agile methodologies.


• Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and Agile collaboration tools.

Certifications:

PMP or equivalent project management certification, Agile Professional Certifications.

Additional Requirements:


• Proven success in applying project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.


• Experience in mentoring and coaching project team members is preferred.


• Ability to foster an effective team environment, build strong relationships, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.


• Creative and resourceful problem-solving skills are essential.
