POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the comprehensive planning, coordination, execution, oversight, and completion of projects in alignment with the company's strategic objectives and commitments. This role necessitates independent collaboration with business partners throughout the organization to identify and execute medium to large-scale projects, as defined by corporate goals. Projects may include business process enhancements, new system deployments, and compliance initiatives. The Senior Project Manager must adeptly manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision, utilizing practical project management methodologies, skills, tools, and techniques to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of valuable outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this role effectively, the individual must successfully execute the following essential functions:

  • Lead the planning and execution of complex project initiatives.
  • Facilitate the establishment of project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines effectively.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans.
  • Assemble and coordinate project teams.
  • Oversee project budgets.
  • Manage resource allocation for projects.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams.
  • Continuously monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present reports to stakeholders and executive management detailing project status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project modifications to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Proactively address project issues and risks to mitigate negative impacts on schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments post-implementation to gauge project results.

QUALIFICATIONS

Competency Requirements:

  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand complex technical topics and specialized information.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) required, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Over 8 years of experience in Project Management, with at least 5 years in both Traditional and Agile methodologies.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and Agile Team Collaboration Tools.

Certifications: PMP or equivalent project management certification, Agile Professional Certifications.

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in applying project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring project team members is preferred.
  • Proven ability to create an effective team environment, build strong relationships, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Creative and resourceful problem-solving skills are essential.
