POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager I is accountable for the comprehensive planning, coordination, execution, oversight, and completion of projects aligned with the company's strategy, commitments, and objectives. This individual will operate independently with business partners throughout the organization to identify and execute small to medium-sized projects, as defined by organizational goals. These projects may encompass business process enhancements, new system rollouts, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate must manage multiple concurrent projects of low to moderate complexity under the guidance of senior staff, utilizing practical project management methodologies, skills, tools, and techniques to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of valuable outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of small to medium-sized project initiatives with low to moderate complexity.
  • Facilitate the establishment of project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) preferred, in fields such as Business, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Alternatively, any combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare management.

Computer Skills: Proficient in advanced MS Office applications.

Certifications & Licenses: PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Experience in fostering an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiating, problem-solving, resolving conflicts, and managing resources in a matrix environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated application of project management methodologies is required (e.g., Agile, SDLC). Familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, is advantageous.
  • Experience in both business unit project management and IT project management is a plus.
