Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing Services, the MDS Coordinator will be responsible for notifying and coordinating the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to ensure MDS assessments are completed in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Qualifications- Active State Nurse License
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational abilities
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Minimum of two years of RN experience in long-term care
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Oversee the Medicare/MDS resident assessment process.
- Ensure timely completion of MDS assessments by the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer treatments, medications, and nursing interventions as per the care plan or physician orders.
- Provide nursing care in accordance with infection control standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols while delivering nursing care.
- Initiate emergency measures as necessary, following established policies.
- Facilitate the exchange of essential information for quality resident care.
- Maintain documentation as required by Federal and State regulations and company policies.
- Participate in all assigned meetings and training sessions.
