Job Title: Personal Lines Product Analyst

Location: United States

As a Personal Lines Product Analyst at COUNTRY Financial, you will play a vital role within our Personal Lines Market Management team, reporting directly to the Personal Lines Product Analytics Supervisor. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance our product insights for Personal Lines Market Managers by advancing product analytics and refining our analytic and competitive tools and data. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Personal Lines through data-driven support for local markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the successful development of new products while managing and enhancing existing offerings by providing recommendations on product design, pricing, underwriting, agency management, distribution, claims, and other operational processes.
  • Ensure that production and underwriting profitability goals are achieved by analyzing premium rates, loss experience, and retention metrics. Monitor the business mix in assigned states, identifying shifts and their underlying causes.
  • Collaborate with marketing to devise business profit and growth strategies for assigned states, translating market opportunities into innovative product concepts by researching major competitors' market positions, including rates, service levels, financial standings, and operational strategies.
  • Communicate and coordinate essential profit metrics by liaising with the Information Technology (IT) department to ensure accurate implementation of rate changes, new products, and features; develop strong working relationships with Accounting, Actuarial, Claims, Customer Service, and IT departments.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, including experience presenting to small groups.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal lines insurance products and processes.
  • Experience in forecasting and modeling.
  • Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
