Job Description

Solutions Architect - Disaster Recovery & Resilience

NuvoLogic Consulting is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to support the Small Business Administration's (SBA) Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience (ODR&R) project. This critical role involves designing and implementing robust and scalable architecture solutions for advanced data analytics tools and products, such as ArcGIS and predictive models, used for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design comprehensive architecture solutions that align with project requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and integration with existing systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring effective implementation of architectural designs.
  • Design and implement integration strategies for various data sources, analytics tools, and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Develop and manage data architecture strategies that support the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of large datasets, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance project capabilities and performance, staying current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and architecture.
  • Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans, ensuring all technical documentation is up-to-date and accessible to project stakeholders.
  • Work with Quality Assurance teams to ensure architectural solutions meet quality standards and performance benchmarks, overseeing testing of architecture components and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Engage with the Scrum Team, Product Owner, and other key stakeholders to align architectural designs with project goals, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Identify potential risks associated with architectural decisions and develop mitigation strategies, addressing and resolving any technical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, with a strong background in designing and implementing complex architecture solutions.
  • Knowledge of virtualization, networking, and system monitoring tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or similar are highly desirable.
