Position Overview:
As a Personal Lines Product Analyst at COUNTRY Financial, you will play a vital role within our Personal Lines Market Management team, reporting directly to the Personal Lines Product Analytics Supervisor. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance our product insights for Personal Lines Market Managers by advancing product analytics and optimizing our analytic and competitive tools and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the successful development of new offerings and the effective management of existing products by providing recommendations on product design, pricing strategies, underwriting processes, agency management, distribution channels, claims handling, and other operational aspects.
- Ensure that production and underwriting profitability targets are achieved by analyzing premium rates, loss trends, and retention metrics. Monitor the business mix in assigned states, identifying shifts and their underlying causes.
- Collaborate with marketing to formulate business profit and growth strategies for assigned states, translating market opportunities into innovative product concepts by researching and staying informed about competitors' market positions, including rates, service levels, financial standings, and operational strategies.
- Communicate and coordinate essential profit metrics by working closely with the Information Technology (IT) department to guarantee the proper implementation of rate adjustments, new product launches, and additional initiatives; develop strong working relationships with Accounting, Actuarial, Claims, Customer Service, and IT teams.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including proficiency in presenting to small groups.
- In-depth knowledge of personal lines insurance products and associated processes.
- Experience in forecasting and modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases.
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
