Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Systems Administrator to join our team at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. As a key member of our Financial Services Division, you will be responsible for administering and optimizing our Workday systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Support and Maintenance
    • Provide day-to-day support for financial user inquiries and issues.
    • Troubleshoot issues and escalate unresolved issues to the next level team member.
    • Perform basic research, analysis, and testing for reported issues and new functionality.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
    • Assist in conducting financial data analysis, including revenue, expenses, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data and recommend actions or improvements.
  • Process Improvement and Training
    • Assist in continuous evaluation and improvement of financial processes and workflows.
    • Create and maintain training materials and documentation to assist users in maximizing the capabilities of financial systems.
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users on the utilization of financial functionality, self-service features, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education with a major in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, information technology, or a related field.
    • Completion of one of the following Workday foundation training courses: Business Process Fundamentals, Financial Fundamentals, Report Writer.
    • One year of end-user experience with Workday within a financial functional area.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and financial management practices.
    • Knowledge of financial compliance regulations and governance practices.
    • Proficient in financial data analysis.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to utilize and administer the Workday financial system.
Working Conditions
  • Working within an office environment.
  • Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time at a keyboard, workstation, or meeting and/or training site.
  • May be required to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Requirements
  • Attendance at the specified Sheriff's Office work location is required.
  • Depending on assignment, employees may be required to possess a valid Florida Driver License at time of employment.
  • No visible tattoos on face, head, and neck.
  • No felony convictions within lifetime.
  • No misdemeanor convictions involving perjury, false statement, or domestic violence within lifetime.
  • No dishonorable discharge from any branch of the United States Armed Forces, the United States Coast Guard, National Guard, or Reserve Forces.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation, including criminal, reference, employment, and neighborhood checks; polygraph; medical evaluation; and drug screening.
