Job Summary:

The Baldwin Risk Partners is seeking a seasoned Program Director to oversee the execution of its Workday Financials implementation, with interdependencies on Workday HCM, Payroll, Adaptive Insights, and other data systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and a third-party implementation partner, directing all phases of the program, and ensuring alignment with key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project team responsible for cost and schedule management, guiding a multi-disciplined team in all aspects of systems implementation through business adoption and life cycle support.
  • Manage vendor relationships with the third-party systems implementation partner to ensure contract compliance, firm-wide support, progress to plan, and validation of contract and payment milestones.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in HR, Accounting, and Finance to ensure execution plans align the foundational data model between Workday HCM and FIN, optimizing the native capabilities of Workday.
  • Manage scope to ensure continued alignment with the Statement of Work and established requirements and budgets.
  • Monitor and assess program performance against plan (schedule and financial) using objective measurement methodologies.
  • Identify risks and develop and implement corrective action when necessary to initiate program changes.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure change management and training plans are in place to maximize the benefits of Workday through new business process adoption.
  • Establish a common understanding among team members on technical approach, scope, schedule, risk, and financial objectives through expert communication and leadership skills.
  • Utilize cost control techniques to control expenditures within the limitations of the project budget and regularly report on project budget to actual performance via the Estimate to Complete (ETC) process.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans and action item lists.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and third-party systems integration/partners to oversee cost/schedule execution of tasks and resolution of issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and present review briefings to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with firm values outlined in The Baldwin Group's Azimuth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on Workday implementations and optimization strategic initiatives.
  • Proven track record of leading successful Workday projects and delivering measurable results.
  • Solid understanding of HR and finance operations and processes.
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in project management principles and process flow mapping tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams for project management success, including business operations, accounting and finance, and technology functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail in daily work and project execution, including scheduling, status reporting, and deliverables.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to understand the internal climate of organizations, define the most productive channels of communication, and use such channels to achieve goals and objectives required.
  • Proven experience communicating effectively with people at all levels of the organization and relay information in legible project status reports to the most senior firm leadership required.
  • Able to adapt to changing business needs and circumstances with a positive attitude and able to modify plans or strategies based on new information or shifting priorities.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and pivot quickly as project requirements change.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience collaborating and mentoring other team members in project management and change management principles highly preferred.
  • Technical acumen, with an understanding of Workday functionality highly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.
