Regional Operations Manager

The Regional Operations Manager oversees the performance of a designated area, managing a portfolio of approximately ten to fifteen retail locations.
This role entails a strong focus on operational excellence, ensuring that each store provides exceptional customer service while fostering the professional growth of the management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive year-over-year growth in same-store sales.
• Achieve fuel break-even targets for the district.
• Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to support sustainable growth.
• Ensure SMG and OSAT scores meet or exceed established goals.
• Facilitate the timely and effective opening of new store locations, ensuring they are fully staffed with trained personnel.
• Manage merchandise gross margin growth per location to align with strategic plans.
• Promote sales initiatives to achieve or surpass planned targets.
• Ensure stores adhere to plan-o-gram standards.
• Control district operational costs to remain within budget (prior to maintenance refresh).
• Achieve safety performance metrics (Total Recordable Injury Rate).
• Manage district shrinkage to be at or below budget.
• Ensure succession plans are in place for store management roles.
• Support company initiatives and maintain adherence to changes.
• Optimize store hours of operation.
• Accurately identify key competitors.
• Analyze and leverage district-wide market trends.
• Collaborate effectively with Fuel Pricing and Merchandising departments to optimize margins.
• Ensure compliance with fuel and merchandising programs.
• Administer the CTM program effectively.
• Develop Store Managers to enhance their capabilities.
• Ensure store teams embody the company’s principles and core competencies.
• Administer the performance review process consistently across the district.
• Conduct store visits in accordance with company guidelines.
• Perform any additional related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A comprehensive understanding of areas such as accounting, marketing, business management, and finance is essential.
Typically requires a four-year college degree, along with 12 to 18 months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
