Location Overview:
Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is situated in the breathtaking San Bernardino Mountains, providing guests with exclusive access to the stunning Lake Arrowhead. This idyllic setting is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a range of activities throughout the year, including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, and winter sports. The resort features a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach, and extensive meeting and event spaces.

Position Summary:
The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in shaping the guest experience at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for providing guests with essential information about the hotel, its amenities, and local attractions. Your primary duty will be to ensure a remarkable first and last impression, delivering a memorable experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests with professionalism and warmth during check-in and check-out processes.
  • Handle cashier duties, ensuring accurate posting of charges and maintaining cash receipts.
  • Manage reservations, including entering and updating group files.
  • Provide concierge services, offering insights on local entertainment, dining, and events.
  • Maintain excellent employee and guest relations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Oversee the Sundries shop, managing inventory and sales.
  • Respond to incoming calls and provide exceptional customer service to guests in the lobby.
  • Address guest inquiries and needs with professionalism and care.
  • Distribute messages and information to guests as needed.
  • Offer travel advice, including directions and local conditions.
  • Accurately post charges to guest accounts and process payments.
  • Strive to create a positive experience for all guests.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure flawless service.

Additional Responsibilities:
In addition to core duties, you may be asked to assist with other supportive functions as determined by management, which may include delivering items to guest rooms or conducting supply inventories.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a combination of education and experience in hospitality is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a front desk or reservation role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proficient in basic to intermediate computer skills, including web-based systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong phone etiquette and note-taking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate calculations.
  • Ability to handle guest and associate concerns professionally.
  • Experience with moderately complex computer systems for data entry.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
