Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is beautifully situated in the San Bernardino Mountains, offering guests stunning views and exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead. This resort is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, providing a range of activities year-round, including hiking, fishing, and skiing. The property features a restaurant, spa, outdoor pool, and extensive meeting space.
Position Summary
The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and service standards in guest accommodations. This position ensures that rooms meet the highest cleanliness standards and addresses maintenance issues and guest requests promptly. Confidentiality and security in guest areas are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked work cart with all necessary supplies.
- Inspect linens prior to placement in rooms and manage below-standard items appropriately.
- Utilize cleaning equipment and supplies effectively and responsibly.
- Change soiled linens and remake beds according to established standards.
- Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation of rooms, including bathrooms and furnishings, using approved cleaning agents.
- Reorganize furniture to its original layout.
- Restock amenities and extra bedding as needed.
- Complete assignment sheets and report room status accurately.
- Remain vigilant regarding safety hazards and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere strictly to lost and found procedures.
- Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures as required.
- Care for assigned equipment and return all items at the end of each shift.
- Punctually report to work as scheduled.
- Communicate any damages or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
This role requires frequent walking, lifting up to 70 lbs, and the ability to stand for extended periods. It involves bending, reaching, and other physical activities, as well as working with cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred six months of experience in housekeeping within a hospitality setting.
- Friendly and approachable personality.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Capacity to follow instructions and manage time effectively.
The compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
