Become a vital part of our Store Operations Team as a Customer Service Associate.

Key Responsibilities

The Customer Service Associate plays a crucial role in our success.

Our stores rely on the Customer Service Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maintain well-stocked shelves with fresh products, and foster a welcoming shopping environment.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Gather and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve them from the parking lot and nearby areas.
  • Assist customers with loading their purchases into shopping carts and provide support with loading items into their vehicles.
  • Verify retail prices on shelves for checkout staff.
  • Return misplaced merchandise to its proper location and ensure shelves are faced appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the store entrance: regularly sweep and pick up trash, mop walkways, and clean entrance/exit doors.
  • Ensure the store remains clean throughout the day: sweep, mop, and restock restrooms as necessary.
Restrictions: Customer Service Associates are not permitted to perform the following tasks:
  • Operate a cash register.
  • Attach item tags (e.g., price changes, promotional tags).
  • Engage in any receiving functions, including but not limited to:
    • Receiving orders through any store entry.
    • DEX/NEX functions.
    • DSD functions.
    • Operate power equipment (may be certified to operate bailer if age 18 or older).
    • Manage a department, whether dry or perishable.
    • Restock shelves, except for items returned from checkout.
    • Assist with pulling down items, except when helping a customer with out-of-stock merchandise.
    • Work during night shifts, except for cleanup duties.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should demonstrate the ability to:
    • Read and write in English, interact effectively with the public and colleagues.
    • Comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and brief correspondence.
    • Compose simple correspondence.
    • Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and team members.
    • Apply common sense to follow detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions.
    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic computer and Outlook skills.
  • Retail Management Certification.
