Job Title: Child Behavior Specialist

Join our team at Intercept Health, a family-owned agency dedicated to providing mental and behavioral health services in Virginia. As a Child Behavior Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized plans to decrease unsafe behaviors and increase communication and social skills.
  • Collect data to assess client skills and develop program goals.
  • Work with children, adolescents, and young adults in our center-based program to promote language, behavioral, social, and daily living skills.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and previous experience working with children.
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or completion of a 40-hour class, competency assessment, and exam within 6 months of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science preferred.

Compensation:

Entry-level pay starts at $17 for direct care and increases based on experience and certification; and ABA-specific education, up to $23 for direct care. Indirect care pay range is between $12 and $15 based on experience and certification.
