Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Risk & Controls will report directly to the Senior Manager, Risk & Controls, and will be instrumental in executing a comprehensive range of operational and technological risk management duties. This includes the planning and execution of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance, acting as a trusted advisor to facilitate informed risk-based decisions, and supporting the development and implementation of guidance and training to enhance the internal controls program across Booking Holdings and its brands.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Independent Oversight: Oversee operational and technological risks within the organization, including initiatives and processes that may affect Booking Holdings.
  2. Risk Identification and Management: Collaborate closely with finance teams and brand risk counterparts to identify and manage significant operational and technological risks, providing effective solutions and assisting in their resolution.
  3. Internal Controls Certification: Aid the Risk & Controls team in fortifying the enterprise-wide internal controls certification process and execute quarterly reporting procedures to support sub-certifications.
  4. GRC Tool Administration: Manage the GRC tool (AuditBoard) administration, ensuring its consistent use as the record system for internal controls.
  5. Program Maturation: Support initiatives aimed at enhancing the Risk & Controls program through cross-brand SOX training and enablement.
  6. Strategic Program Support: Lead specific workstreams by assisting the Senior Manager in strategic programs such as business integration and finance transformation.
  7. Budget Management: Conduct budget-related activities for the Risk & Controls team.
  8. Program Planning and Execution: Plan and execute the SOX compliance program for IT, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
  9. Collaboration: Work with IT and business units to identify and document essential controls and processes.
  10. Testing Oversight: Supervise testing performed by consultants, review their outputs, and ensure timely reporting of results.
  11. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with stakeholders such as Global Internal Audit and External Auditors, maintaining strong relationships.
  12. Enterprise SOX Program Contribution: Contribute to the enterprise SOX program's coordination and facilitation.
  13. Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the Risk and Compliance department and other stakeholders, providing expert advice on technology risks.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CIA.
• 5-8 years of advanced job knowledge in controls functions, Enterprise Risk Management, or Internal Audit within a publicly listed company.
• Extensive experience with SOX compliance, including IT General Controls and application controls.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient knowledge of technology risks, including cybersecurity and IT governance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
