Position Title: Financial Analyst

Position Overview: The Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting thorough financial evaluations of operational activities, capital investments, cash flows, and potential business acquisitions. This role also involves assisting in the management, administration, and enhancement of financial and operational budgets and forecasts. The analyst will complete comprehensive business and financial assessments on moderately to highly complex business development and acquisition projects, analyzing historical and current financial data to aid in forecasting future revenues, expenditures, and cash flows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed financial and business research and analysis, including the creation of presentations, reports, graphs, and charts.
  • Review financial and business-related analyses focusing on financial performance, expense management, working capital, and investment strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for both the corporate entity and the consolidated organization.
  • Support the development of financial components for business plans, financial evaluations, and forecasts.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of the operational performance of the consolidated entity and its individual segments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepare various financial statement account analyses and reconciliations.
  • Assist in evaluating potential acquisition targets by gathering business and financial information, analyzing historical performance, and developing projections based on industry trends.
  • Analyze operational results, particularly financial performance, to identify significant events or deviations and assess their potential impact on future operations.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentation materials for both internal and external meetings.
  • Evaluate financial and operational implications of data and communicate insights related to business processes and profitability.
  • Contribute to special projects and reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; an MBA or MSA is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to independently analyze financial data.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate financial information.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

EMCOR Government Services offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $115,000, along with eligibility for bonuses. We are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability, a 401(k) Savings Plan, and employee assistance programs.
