Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst will engage in comprehensive financial evaluations of operational activities, capital projects, cash flows, and potential acquisitions. This role also involves assisting in the coordination and enhancement of financial and operational budgets and forecasts. The analyst will be responsible for conducting business and financial analyses on projects of moderate to high complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed financial and business research and analysis, including the creation of presentations, reports, graphs, and charts.
- Review and analyze financial performance and expense reports, focusing on working capital and investment opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for both the corporate entity and the consolidated organization.
- Contribute to the financial components of business plans, evaluations, and forecasts.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of operational performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Prepare financial statement account analyses and reconciliations.
- Support the evaluation of potential acquisitions by gathering financial and business information, analyzing historical performance, and developing projections based on industry trends.
- Analyze operating results to identify significant events or deviations and assess their potential impact on future operations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentation materials for various meetings.
- Evaluate financial data to communicate insights related to business processes and profitability.
- Participate in special projects and reporting as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; an MBA or MSA is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience is necessary.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to independently assess financial data.
- Proven ability to interpret and present financial information effectively.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team environment and strong interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
EMCOR Government Services offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $115,000 for this position, which is also eligible for bonuses. We are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability, a 401(k) Savings Plan, and employee assistance programs.
