As a Senior Analyst in Business Process Risk and Controls at Booking Holdings, you will play a crucial role in the Risk & Controls (R&C) Team. This position involves a hybrid work model, requiring two days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Independent Oversight:
Provide oversight for operational and financial risks, conducting comprehensive process reviews to ensure compliance and enhance efficiency.
Risk Identification and Evaluation:
Collaborate closely with finance teams and brand counterparts to identify, evaluate, and manage significant operational and financial risks.
Internal Controls Certification:
Monitor internal processes and control certifications, executing quarterly reporting procedures to support compliance requirements.
GRC Tool Management:
Assist in the administration of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool, ensuring consistent application as the authoritative system for internal controls.
Enhancing the R&C Program:
Support initiatives aimed at advancing the R&C program through cross-brand training and guidance.
Strategic Program Assistance:
Contribute to select strategic initiatives, including business integration and global finance transformation.
SOX Compliance:
Program Planning and Implementation:
Plan and execute SOX compliance activities, focusing on control design and information utilized in controls to strengthen the control environment.
COSO Framework Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining Entity Level Controls, ensuring alignment with the COSO Framework for enterprise-wide compliance.
Testing Oversight:
Oversee business process SOX testing, review testing documentation, participate in control testing, and ensure timely reporting of results.
Deficiency Assessment and Remediation:
Support process and control owners in assessing deficiencies and implementing necessary remedial actions.
Collaboration and Communication:
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with control and process owners, providing expert guidance on internal control matters.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Engage with stakeholders, including Global Internal Audit and External Auditors, to maintain effective relationships and provide support.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Public Accounting (Big 4)
- Background in Internal Audit/Risk & Controls within a publicly listed company
- Involvement in SOX programs and risk management in complex industries
- Extensive knowledge of SOX and risk-based auditing practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented team player with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Familiarity with US GAAP and the COSO Framework
- Proficient time management and organizational skills
- Experience with AuditBoard is a plus.
